A Brrr…eeze Of A Training Day
January 17, 2009
Even thought it was only 30 degrees, I had my second training with Ryan today. He checked me on my Sit, Down, Come, Roll, Spin, and Place. My Sit, Down, Come, Spin and Roll were a breeze, but Ryan said we needed to work Place and Come some more – especially when I get distracted. He said that is normal though – I am the equivalent to a pre-school aged kid now.
We also added a new trick called “Spread ‘em” and added a little extra to my Spin. We are going to call “Wax On” for a clockwise Spin and “Wax Off” for a counter-clockwise Spin. To keep me warm and focused, he made sure I took breaks and had playtime with him and 2 more other dogs he is training - an Australian Cattle Dog and a Labradoodle.

Kisses for a "Spread 'Em" well done!

She’s doing great! I love that “spread ‘em.”
Jake’s doing the same funky hair growth thing. Stripe down the back, check! Stripes on the tail, check! Bushier tail starting, check!
Fun times!
