A Big Girl Collar

Not only am I getting my Big Girl Coat and my Big Girl Teeth, I just got my first Big Girl Collar!  It’s red and has stars on it.  I like it!  It’s 100% hemp and is made by Earth Dog.  Mom likes that company because she says they “give back” to the community – and that is a good thing.   10% of all procedes go to Kody’s Fund, a non-profit organization that funds spay and neuter programs.

Getting My Big Girl Teeth

I am 18 weeks old now, and I have started getting my new adult teeth.  This is common with GSDs around 4 months old and usually lasts for a couple months.  I don’t think this is a bad thing necessarily - I get to chew on ice and get new toys  – oh, goody! 

So far I haven’t eaten anything I am not supposed to though.    I do like to pick up socks, but I always drop them when asked.  And I haven’t been too mouthy.  I’m starting to learn that when I do get mouthy, the hand I am chewing on gets replaced with a chew toy.  I get lots of praise when I “Off” the hand and chew on my toys.

So now, I have my Big Girl Coat coming in and Big Girl Teeth too.  I’m growing up!
